A TEAM of 250 helped raise £10,000 for children's charity Stick'n'Step by taking part in the Wirral Coastal Walk.

The money is enough to fund places for two children to attend conductive education sessions run by the charity for a year.

The charity's team - featuring staff, supporters and people who use its services - was sponsored by B&M Waste Services, which provided a £2,000 boost to the fundraising efforts.

Neil Curtis, the firm's managing managing director, said: "It's a phenomenal achievement to raise over £10,000.

"I congratulate all those who took part in the extreme temperatures we are seeing at the moment.

"Stick 'n' Step is a truly deserving charity, who do amazing work with the children they support. We are proud to support them"

Stick'n'Step provides the children with totally free-of-charge conductive education sessions, allowing them to gain the skills they need to live independent lives.

More than 80 children, from across the region, attend these sessions weekly or twice weekly at the organisation's centres in Wallasey and Runcorn.
