A KITTEN was rescued by firefighters at a home in Rock Ferry.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called at around 8pm on Tuesday, May 22 following reports of a kitten stuck behind a gas fire at a home in Old Chester Road.
One fire engine attended the incident and discovered that the kitten had got stuck in the chimney behind a gas fire.
Firefighters managed to remove the fire and retrieve the kitten uninjured.
Crews remained on scene for around 20 minutes.
