MORE than 700 people have registered to take part in Wirral's Race For Life in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The Globe-backed event will be held in Birkenhead Park on Sunday, July 1.
Last year, 2,100 women put on their running shoes and did their bit for the cause raising £115,000 to help fight cancer and save more lives.
The Globe has been Race For Life's official newspaper since 2006.

Comedy night
A CHARITY night of comedy featuring TV funnyman Tony Slattery will be held at Hoylake Social Club this Friday.
Presented by West Kirby Rotary Club it starts at 7.30pm.
The London-born comedian and actor is most famous for his long-running residency on Channel Four comedy game show Whose Line is it Anyway?
All proceeds from Tony's show will be going to the charity Wirral Ways to Recovery.

A FASHION show will be held at St Thomas' church in Seaview Road, Liscard, this Friday.
Organised by Tybella boutique in Liscard it starts at 7.30pm.

Open Garden
THE Fairclough's will open up their beautiful garden at Inglewood, 4 Birchmere in Heswall for charity as part of the National Open garden Scheme this Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20. Pay on gate: £4 adults / children free. Refreshments on sale. All proceeds to Wirral Hospice St John's.
Charity Football Match
TRANMERE Rovers Legends take on Wirral Radio FC this Saturday at Cammell Laird FC's ground in St Peter’s Road, Rock Ferry CH42 1PY. Kick off at 5.30pm. Pay on gate: £5 adults / under 16s free. After-party at St Anne’s Social Club from 7pm. Proceeds from the match and after party in aid of Wirral Hospice St John’s and the Lee Knight Foundation.
College exhibition
ILLUSTRATION with magic - Wirral Metropolitan College's art degree show - is on view at the Williamson Art Gallery in Birkenhead from this Saturday until Sunday, June 10.
It is open to the public from 10am-5pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
Art display
IRBY Artists' annual exhibition will be held later this month.
Taking place at St Chad’s Church Hall in Roslin Road, Irby on Saturday, May 26 it will feature more than 250 items of art and craft. It takes place from 10am to 5pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.
Car wash
A CAR wash and plant sale will be held at St Paul's Church in Seacombe a week on Saturday, May 26 from 10am-4pm. A You can have car washed for minimum donation of £2.
Embroiderers' guild
WIRRAL branch of the Embroiderers' guild meets this Thursday at Williamson Art Gallery in Slatey Road, Birkenhead from 7.15-9.15pm at the Williamson museum.
Free entry for members, £5 for visitors.
Sessions feature regular speakers or member presentations together with sales tables, raffles, refreshments and of course advice for anyone struggling with any embroidery query, hand, machine or mixed media.
Charity show
THE Castle Singers' spring concert in aid of Christian Aid will be held at Prenton Methodist Church this Saturday.
Taking place at the venue in Glenavon Road, Prenton, it starts at 7.30pm. Admission is £5, which includes a drink and a piece of cake.
Flaybrick walk
A GUIDED walk around Flaybrick Memorial Gardens in Bidston will take place this Saturday at 11am.
If interested, meet at 10.45am at nearby Tam O'Shanter Farm. Admission is £2 per person.
The walk will take an hour. It includes entry into the recently part-restored Chapels.
