A MAN was rescued during April's highest tide by lifeboat volunteers in West Kirby.
On Tuesday, April 17 at around 12.30pm HM Coastguard received a report of a male walker who had been cut off by incoming tide measuring at 9.38m on Little Eye.
The coastguard then enlisted the help of RNLI West Kirby Lifeboat.
Lifeboat crews found the man sheltering from the rain behind a concrete post on Little Eye.
He was unharmed and did not require any medical assistance.
The coastguard met with the man and provided safety advice.
RNLI Lifeboat operations manager for West Kirby Dave Henshaw said: "It is important that visitors check the tidal information before setting out and that they take appropriate clothing and refreshments.
"There is information concerning tide times and height on the noticeboard opposite to the ice-cream kiosk at the Dee Lane end of the Marine Lake.
"It is important to respect the water and to guard against any hazardous situations."
