A SECURITY guard was left shaken but uninjured after a cash-in-transit robbery outside a Seacombe supermarket this afternoon.

He was making a cash delivery to Tesco at around 2pm when two men ran towards him.

The guard fell and the two offenders left on foot past William Hill bookmakers carrying a cash box.

One of the men wanted by police is around 6ft 1in tall. He was wearing a grey jacket, with a hood up and black jeans.

The guard was not injured but was left very shaken by the incident.

Detective Inspector Judith Blease said: "Robberies of security guards are not victimless crimes and it is unacceptable for this guard to be subjected to this ordeal while he was carrying out his job.

"We are carrying out a number of enquiries in the area including the examination of CCTV and forensic investigations."
