LOCAL walkers are being asked to put on their boots and take part in this year's Wirral Coastal Walk for the British Red Cross.
Taking place on Sunday, June 24 the British Red Cross are encouraging friends and family to enjoy the views of the borough's coastline and raise cash for the charity.
Organised by the North Wirral Rotary Club, the walk is 15 miles from Seacombe Ferry to Wirral Country Park in Thurstaston.
There is also interim points at 4 to 10 miles.
Registration for the walk is £5 per walker (£1 for children under 10).
Anyone walking for the Red Cross must raise a minimum £50 in sponsorship to help the charity to provide key services across Merseyside including wheelchair loans and emergency response.
All walkers will receive a fundraising pack and will have an online Just Giving page set up for them.
