AN AUTHOR from Prenton has scooped a top award for her debut novel 'Grace and the Ghost'.

Estelle Maher, 45, won 'Best Spiritual Fiction' for her novel in the 2018 Spiritual Book Awards.

The mum-of-two fought off competition from a number of book entries on a range of topics from astrology to psychic awakening.

Estelle told the Globe: “I’m absolutely delighted to have won this award and it’s a huge confidence boost, especially as I’m so close to finishing my second book.

“I’ve been writing for a long time but it’s only over the last couple of years that I’ve built up the courage to finally publish my work so this award goes a long way to validating all my efforts so far.

“I’m really grateful to all the readers who took the time and effort to vote for ‘Grace and the Ghost’ and also judge Ryan Gooding, who is a very well loved psychic medium.”

Estelle is now busy putting the finishing touches to her sequel ‘Angels Rebellion’.

Published with the support of Team Author UK and released on Amazon 12 months ago ‘Grace and the Ghost’ is a book about life and fate.

It combines romance and humour as it follows the journey of a young woman who becomes haunted by a man named Crowley and finds her long-held beliefs about heaven and earth being challenged.
