A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a crash involving a taxi in Birkenhead.
Emergency services were called at around 6.30pm on Wednesday to Charing Cross' junction with Grange Road West after reports of a collision between a Mercedes Sport and a black cab.
Both vehicles sustained serious damage.
A male taxi driver received a minor cut to the head but did not require hospital treatment.
A woman was checked at the scene by paramedics and was taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
The road was closed for two hours while the vehicles were recovered and reopened at 8.30pm.
