FIREFIGHTERS tackled a large blaze at a shed in Meols.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called at around 7.45pm on Tuesday to reports of a shed on fire on Birkenhead Road.
Once on scene crews discovered a large quantity of wood well alight.
The fire was extinguished at 8.30pm.
No-one was injured.
Crews stayed to cool an acetylene cylinder which was inside the shed.
Firefighters remained on scene until 2.10am on Wednesday.
