THE 21 Conservative councillors on Wirral Council have sent out a 'New Ferry Update'.
In it they accuse the council of not formally requesting help from the government until almost three months after the explosion.
Well for half that period we had a general election campaign, so little point in writing until they knew who would be the relevant minister.
Also the Conservative councillors neglect to criticise the governments' refusal to help, but are happy to criticise the council.
If they want to campaign on behalf of New Ferry may I suggest they use better arguments and be less obviously party political.
