A WIRRAL man has raised £520 by skydiving for Make A Wish Foundation in memory of his twin brother.

Craig Deville, 27, from Neston lost his brother James in November last year and decided he wanted live his life to the full while helping others to do the same.

In May he decided to take part in a charity skydive for Make A Wish Foundation to give children and young people who are suffering from life-threatening illness the chance to achieve their dreams.

Craig told the Globe: “The skydive was the best and most terrifying activity that I have ever taken part in.

“The nerves started when I was in the plane – the cameraman was next to me taking photographs and letting me know how high we reached.

“I began to fear for my life but at the same time I was excited to finally tick this off my bucket list.

“For me the scariest part of the day was when the plane door opened and it was my turn to exit the aircraft. I sat down and my legs were hanging out of the plane door, I tilted my head back and then we dived out.

“It felt amazing and terrifying.

“We reached speeds of nearly 150mph but it felt so much more like slow motion because of all the air against us.

“The cash we raised will go a long way to helping children with terminal illnesses.

“They will be able to have a wish granted.”

He added: “Thanks to Mitchell’s and Butlers, work colleagues, friends and family and everyone that shared my story.

“I couldn’t have done this without your support – thank you so much for your donations.”

Craig now hopes to raise cash for a forest saving charity - if anyone know of ways that he can achieve this email him here craigdeville@hotmail.com or visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/craig-deville2
