A WIRRAL woman is set to receive a MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
A pension coordinator at Remploy Diane Carroll, 68, from Wallasey has been honoured for her services to people with disabilities.
Diane has worked at Remploy Ltd for 25 years - a company that provides employment placement services for disabled people.
She has also been a member-nominated trustee of the Remploy 'Pension and Assurance' scheme since 1998.
Remploy seeks to improve the lives of disabled people and those with complex needs through the power of work.
They believe that everyone has something to offer so once they know a person's skills they match them to proper jobs with carefully chosen employers who help them achieve.
Diane has also travelled to offices across the UK to explain the pension scheme and advise how clients can enter employment.
Diane said: “I feel very honoured my passion for the pension scheme and its members has been recognised in this way."
