WIRRAL'S creative, digital and smallbusiness office sector has been given a boost with the launch of a new initiative at a Birkenhead business hub.
The Sheds at Pacific Road in Birkenhead aim to encourage freelancers, temps, independent contractors and entrepreneurs to take the leap from working at home to finding quality office space.
It was created by Wirral Chamber of Commerce in a bid to support growing businesses and encourage opportunities for co-working space.
Co-working spaces are shared work areas for self-employed people, which encourage professionals to share ideas and experiences if and when they want.
Paula Basnett, chief executive of Wirral Chamber of Commerce, said: "We are providing something unique for Wirral's creative sector, beyond a traditional business centre.
"We're looking to get a vibrant mix of businesses and freelancers on board, to add to a positive atmosphere where people genuinely look forward to coming to work each day".
