A WOMAN from Neston has been air-lifted to hospital following a serious crash in Chelford near Macclesfield.
Emergency services were called at around 7.20am today on the A537 Chelford Road following a collision involving a white Ford pickup truck and a white Vauxhall Vivaro transit van.
Both drivers suffered serious injuries.
The 44-year-old woman who was driving the transit van was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital by air ambulance.
A 21-year-old man from Congleton was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital by Ambulance.
The road was closed in both directions while officers dealt with the scene and reopened at around 2.20am.
Enquiries into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
