A man has been arrested following a crash in Norman Street, Birkenhead which saw a car flipped on its side.
The 21-year-old man from Birkenhead has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated unauthorised taking of a car, dangerous driving, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and having no insurance.
He will be interviewed by officers today.
The Renault Megane car was spotted speeding along Brassey Street by police who gave chase at around 5pm on Thursday.
The driver was told to stop but failed to do so.
The car was found a short time later crashed into a wall on Norman Street and turned on its side.
A Range Rover was also damaged.
