A WIRRAL community beach club has been shortlisted for the National Epic Awards.

Ebb & Flow Projects CIC set up a ‘beach club’ for children and adults to get outdoors and enjoy the beaches the borough has to offer.

Following its success in March and October the beach club offered creative sessions in activities such as photography, video and sand drawing.

The company then created beach exhibitions where the artwork was able for all to see before it was washed away by the waves.

The Epic Awards celebrate the achievement of voluntary arts groups across the UK by recognising the skill, innovation and hard work that goes into activites.

Beach School practitioners and director of Ebb and Flow, Christina Condron said: “Pretty please, can everybody in Merseyside Support us and vote for us in the Epic People Choice Awards, we need as many votes as we can.

“We are up against projects from across England, Wales and Ireland so a bit of local support would mean the world to us.

“It has been a great honour for us to be selected and shortlisted for the awards and a recognition to the hard work we have put in to get Ebb & Flow up and running.”
