A Wirral teenager has been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Blake Brown in Aigburth.

The 17-year-old from Wallasey has been held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

A warrant has also been carried out in West Derby this morning in connection with the investigation.

Blake was fatally shot at 10.20pm, on Monday, October 24, at Southwood Road.

He died in hospital 40 minutes after being found near St Michael’s train station.

He had suffered gunshot wounds to his head, thigh and buttock.

Six people have been arrested and bailed over the course of the ongoing investigation.

The arrest comes a day after after police released what could be important video footage of two men and a car.

The video shows a white Range Rover Evoque and two men in the Moel Famau View area of Liverpool before and after the murder.

It also shows the same vehicle in convoy with a BMW the day after the murder, en-route to Heswall where it was found burned out.

The Evoque was stolen from an address in West Kirby on Friday, October 14, and was seen being driven to Liverpool a few days before the murder with false number plates.

Police are still appealing for witnesses, or anyone who may be able to help the inquiry, to come forward.
