The family of Wirral-mum-of-two Anita Stevenson has set up an online appeal to raise money for her funeral.

Anita’s body was discovered in woodland in Bromborough on Saturday after the 39-year-old had been missing for five weeks.

Originally from Bradford, Anita was last seen by her partner at their home address on Bebington Road, Tranmere on Tuesday October 18.

Set up by sister Jess Stevenson the page reads: “As many of you can imagine, my sisters passing came as a massive shock to our family, no-one could have prepared us for losing her, because of this, we didn’t have any plans for her when she would pass away or savings.

“Why would she when she was so young and full of life.

“Now the time has come and we want to give her the best send-off possible, one fit for the amazing and beautiful fun woman she was.

“Any donation, no matter how small is so greatly appreciated and our family cannot thank you enough, all the support is so overwhelming.”

So far the page has raised more than £600 of its £2,500 target.

A post-mortem to confirm the cause of death has taken place and the results are being withheld pending toxicology reports.
