WIRRAL will once again be featured on television when ‘The Dog Rescuers’ returns this week for their latest episode of the new series.
This week’s episode follows RSPCA Inspector Anthony Joynes visiting a Wirral property, where he finds a black and white crossbreed Socks with a chronic skin and ear disease.
He also finds Brindle crossbreed Patch who has a tumour on his rear, both dogs are also covered with fleas.
The case was covered by the Globe in January, when their owner appeared at Wirral magistrate’s court charged with neglect and causing suffering to both animals.
The episode will follow the story which saw Patch euthanased due to his condition while Socks made a full recovery and found a new home.
This year, marks the fourth series of ‘The Dog Rescuers’ which gives viewers an insight of the dramatic rescues, inspirational rehabilitations and heart-warming rehomings, the RSPCA charity deals with every day.
Tomorrow's episode will also feature Inspector Herchy Boal, who rescues Scooby, after she is found collapsed with puncture wounds after fighting with two other dogs.
Dog Rescuers will be aired on Tuesday, July 12, at 8pm, on Channel 5.
