TWO men from Wirral have been arrested following incidents in the Birkenhead area.
A 23-year-old from Tranmere and a 21-year-old from Birkenhead have been taken into custody where they will be questioned by detectives.
Earlier this week, police had appealed for information after robberies took place on Sunday, June 26.
The first incident saw a 44-year-old woman approached from behind by an unknown male as she walked along Hinderton Road.
The second incident saw a 28-year-old man approached in the car park of Green Lane Train Station on Old Chester Road.
Enquiries into both incidents are ongoing.
Detectives are now appealing for two males, wearing hi-visibility jackets, who were in the vicinity of Green Lane Train station, on Old Chester Road, at around 10.15pm on Sunday to get in touch as officers believe they may be able to assist with the investigation.
