A THIRD person has been arrested in connection with an incident in which a 15-year-old girl was knocked down by a suspected stolen van in Moreton.
A 17-year-old boy from Moreton was last night held on suspicion of aggravated unauthorised taking of a vehicle.
He will be charged with dangerous driving and failing to stop after an accident.
He has been kept in custody and will appear this morning at Wirral Youth Remand Court.
Police say two other teenagers arrested earlier on Wednesday have now been released from custody with no further action taken.
At around 9.40pm, on Monday, police received a report of a Ford Trans Connect van seen travelling at speed on Manor Road, Upton, heading towards Moreton.
Following a brief pursuit by police the vehicle drove into Lyons Close where it was involved in a collision with a 15-year-old girl, before hitting a brick outbuilding, causing considerable damage.
The girl suffered bruising but did not require hospital treatment.
