NESTON will celebrate the 202nd anniversary of its annual Ladies Day Walk with a procession through the town today.

Dating from 1814, it is organised by Neston Female Society and has taken place on the first Thursday in June, apart from during the war years.

More than 200 children and around 60 adults are expected to take part in today's procession, which starts in the market square at 2.30pm.

They will be lead by the Scots Guard Association band.
