TRAIN services are now running as normal on the Wirral Line after disruptions to several services this morning.
A train failure at James Street at around 9am this morning caused disruption to the line.
Services to New Brighton had to start and terminate at Birkenhead North, Chester services had to start and terminate at Birkenhead Central, and services to Ellesmere Port and West Kirby had to start and terminate at James Street.
However, the line is now fully open and normal service has resumed.
Merseyrail tweeted: “Services have now resumed on the Wirral Line. Our apologies for the earlier inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
