POLICE have released CCTV stills of a man they want to speak to in connection with a robbery in which a shop assistant was threatened with a knife at New Ferry.
The incident took place on Tuesday, February 16, at the News and Booze store on New Ferry Road.
At around 6.45am a man entered the store and threatened a lone female member of staff while holding a knife, demanding cash.
He took a quantity of tobacco and cigarettes before leaving the scene on foot.
The member of staff was not injured during the incident but was left extremely distressed.
Officers have examined CCTV from the store and surrounding area and would urge the man pictured, or anyone who recognises the clothing on the man pictured to get in contact as they may have information that could assist with enquiries.
