LET'S all do ... the time warp again.

Ah, memories.

Now Howard Panter for Ambassador Theatre Group unleashes this current touring version of Rocky Horror Show.

I have seen many incarnations of this show in my time but this ranks as one of the best.

The lighting is astonishing.

I never thought I'd ever say that but it is a true star.

Light on!

This musical is one of the all time greats and it's always been a two-way thing.

Cast and audience.

Richard O'Brien once told me he never knew how big it would be become.

He had an idea. With Richard Hartley ... he created a monster to see the wide aged group audience play along was sheer fun.

To hear them ad-lib was expected on Merseyside.

Narrator is the likeable versatile Steve Punt who can deal with hecklers through his stand up work.

It has been a clássic cult from 1973.

Stage to screen and back again.

On the road it is the ideal show to let your hair down.

This is where audience participation is part of the event.

In Liverpool the ad-libbing from the fans (many dressed up in wonderfully imaginative costumes) makes you more than smile.

This current touring version is without doubt one of the best I have ever seen.

For so many reasons.

The poster is splashed with igraphics inticing you into a weird sexy, erotic, fun and faultless production.

This is a tale of an all American couple who, stranded, end up in the gothic home of Frank N Furter and his ghoulish gang.

Riff Raff the butler has more than the dark about him.

Frank in suspenders and stockings is wonderfully wicked.

The poster drips with graphic fun.

But wait till you see the show.

Director Christopher Luscombe has allowed artistic freedom to Liam Tamne as Frank N Furter.

He uses it to maximum effect.

Steve Punt as narrator is an inspired choice.

His stand up pedigree ensures he knows how to deal with heckler.

And they don't get more hellish than a quick-witted, ad-libbing Liverpool audience.

The set is sublime and the on. stage band are perfect.

This is an alarmingly feel good night out.

The show is at the Empire until Saturday.

Five stars

Roller Coaster Enjoyment
