A WIRRAL post office will be closed for a two-week refurbishment next month.
Hamilton Square Post Office in Market Street, Birkenhead, will shut its doors at 5.30pm on Wednesday, February 10, reopening at 1pm on Thursday, February 25.
The revamped branch will then be open from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 2.30pm on Saturday.
During its two-week closure, customers will be able to use Birkenhead Post Office in Borough Pavement at Grange Shopping Centre and Park Station Post Office in Park Road North, Birkenhead.
Sue Whittall, area manager said: "We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.
"We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.
"This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future.
"The investment marks a commitment to no more branch closures programme."
