DETECTIVES hunting arsonists who set five vehicles and a house front door ablaze in Ellesmere Port have released CCTV footage of two people they want to speak to.
The incidents happened in the early hours of Tuesday, January 12 in the areas of Church Lane, Seacombe Drive, Rostherne Avenue and Peckforton Drive.
Two people were arrested and later released on bail pending further enquiries.
No members of the public were injured but it is suspected the offender may have received scorch marks or may have come home smelling of petrol.
Officers have viewed CCTV and are keen to speak to the people in the footage or anyone who might recognise them as they believe they might have information that could help their enquiries.
DS Rob Grantham said: "We are keen to speak to the people pictured in the footage as part of our enquiries into this incident.
"I would like to appeal to anyone in the CCTV stills, or anyone who recognises the people pictured, to contact police.
“I would also like to speak to anyone who has recently had a petrol canister, or fuel stolen but has not yet contacted police.”
Anyone with information about the incident should call Ellesmere Port Local Policing Unit on 101 quoting incident number 52 of 12 January 2016.
Alternatively, information can be given contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
