A WIRRAL dairy company made a special delivery to young pateients at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Family-owned business Mortons & Harrisons Dairies teamed up with customers to donate toys and gifts for children of all ages at the world-famous hospital.

Householders generously handed over sackfuls of presents to more than 100 milkmen out on their rounds in December.

Julian Harrison, operations director, said: “We’re proud of all our Wirral staff and customers for being so generous at this time of year.

“We hope our special delivery brings a smile to the faces of children and their families who are staying in Alder Hey at Christmas this year.

“Alder Hey is close to our hearts and we fully support the great work they do for so many children and families around the UK.

“We were astounded by the number of our customers who donated gifs.

“It was a great community effort and we’d like to thank everyone who gave generously to such a good cause.”

"It’s lovely to hear so many customers and staff wanted to get involved o support the children and families who are staying at Alder Hey this year.”
