AN 83-year-old man has died following a crash in Bidston.
Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision, which happened on Hoylake Road at its junction with Worcester Road at around 3pm on Sunday.
It involved a grey Rover 75 and a black Volkswagen Polo.
The 83 year-old driver of the Rover was taken to the Royal Liverpool Hospital for treatment but sadly died on Thursday.
His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the second car stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.
Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Hoylake Road and may have seen the incident to contact Merseyside Police’s Roads Policing Unit on 0151 777 5747.
