STAFF at a Wirral veterinary surgery are holding an open day this weekend to raise vital funds for a charity helping rhinos in South Africa.

Medivet Heswall is currently working with the Wilderness Foundation and former Medivet employee Dr William Fowlds to raise awareness and funds to protect rhinos from the poaching crisis in South Africa.

The open day will take place on Saturday, August 22, at Medivet Heswall’s premises in Daryl Road, from 2pm to 5pm.

A fun-filled charity event will take place at Victoria Park in Bebington Road, Tranmere this Sunday, August 23.

Among the entertainment on the day will be a funfair, stalls and various inflatables. It runs from 11am-5pm.
