THIS adorable bundle of joy is looking for his furrever home - how can you resist?

Two-year-old Cassidy only has three legs but can do everything a cat with four can do. He is a boisterous, vocal boy who loves cuddles and affection.

He was taken into the care of Cats Protection's South Wirral branch as an injured stray.

Vets tried desperately so save his poorly leg but the difficult decision was eventually made to amputate.

He loves being outdoors and so a home with a garden is a must. If you are looking for a cat that spends most of the day outside but returns home for cuddles on your knee then Cassidy is the cat for you.

Wirral Globe:

Staff at the South Wirral branch are urging people across the region to adopt a feline friend during National Pet Month, which runs until May 4.

The special month-long celebration raises awareness of the benefits that pets bring to people as well as promoting responsible pet ownership.

A host of Cats Protection survey findings prove the health and social benefits of owning a cat for people of all ages.

One study involving more than 600 respondents showed that 87% of people who owned a cat felt it had a positive impact on their wellbeing, while 76% said they could cope with everyday life much better thanks to the company of their feline friends.

Another study found 81% of children aged 13 and under and 79% of people aged 55 and over sometimes share their feeling with their cats rather than a family member or a friend when they are upset.

South Wirral Branch publicity officer, Sophie Corless, said: “National Pet Month is a good time for people to stop and think about how a pet could enhance their lives. Those choosing a cat will be thoroughly rewarded as cats offer love and companionship and they are also good for your health.”
