A 20-YEAR-OLD man is in 'critical' condition in hospital after he was attacked at a house in Wallasey.
Police were called by the North West Ambulance Service to a house on Gainsborough Road on Sunday.
Officers attended and found a man in his 20s who had reportedly been assaulted following an altercation with another man in the house.
The victim was taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical.
A full investigation into the incident has been launched and house to house enquiries are being carried out.
A 30-year-old man from Birkenhead has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is being questioned by police.
