Woman's body found in Birkenhead flat
THE body of a woman has been discovered at a flat in Birkenhead.
Merseyside Police were called to a property on Market Street following a report of concern for the safety of a woman at around 10.35am, Tuesday.
Police found the body of a 51-year-old woman.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The woman's next of kin are being informed and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course to establish the cause of her death.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
