A BIRKENHEAD man has been charged after the owners of a Wirral convenience store were robbed at knifepoint.
Michael John Davies, from Church Road, is charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article.
Merseyside Police arrested 38-year-old Davies in connection with a robbery at R Late Stores in Bebington on Sunday night.
The police were called and patrols, included an officer with a dog, searched the area but the offender could not be found.
Davies has also been charged with aggravated burglary following an incident at Victoria Kebab House on Bebington Road on August 20, and burglary following an incident at the Five Bars Rest pub on Borough Road on August 21.
Davies is due to appear before Wirral magistrates today, Friday.
