A DUO of arsonists poured accelerant into an unattended car before setting it alight in Wallasey.

An investigation is currently underway following the car fire – which involved a Ford Fiesta – on Bishops Road in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Emergency services were called to the blaze at 12.15am following the blaze – which is believed to have been started by two 20-year-old men.

The offenders – described as white, of slim build and wearing dark clothing with their faces covered  - ran off down Mostyn Street.
