LIVERPOOL Council is doing a great job in promoting the city.
It's a pity the John Lennon Airport seems to be working against that.
New parking regulations now ensure that you have to pay £2 to drop off or collect passengers in the car park be it one minute or 20 minutes.
If you think you can outsmart them by stopping short of the car park on the double red lines, think again.
There is a white van parked on the roundabout with “Traffic Management Control” signs on the sides. Presumably this is fitted with a camera.
I’m not sure about the legalities of a public highway forcing vehicles into a paying car park.
Maybe there is a sign warning you, but knowing the airport I doubt it would be prominent.
Manchester Airport, on the other hand is brilliant.
Terminal One, up the ramp, under cover. No charge and no hassle to drop off passengers.
Travelling time to both airports from the Wirral is the same and even if it weren’t I would choose Manchester every time over Liverpool.
