A PENSIONER has appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Leslie Jones, of Lee Road, Hoylake, was in the dock at Wirral magistrates court on Tuesday.
The 76-year-old faces one charge relating to an incident on July 27 when it is alleged he caused the death of 81-year-old Kathleen McNair after driving a Citroen Picasso dangerously on Bridge Road, West Kirby.
Jones – who uses a wheelchair – did not enter a plea during the short hearing and will now appear at Liverpool Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on June 24.
He remains on unconditional bail.
