Ian Goodison's spell at Tranmere Rovers is over after the League Two-bound club released him, ending his ten-year stay.
The 41-year-old former Jamaica centre-half has scored 13 times in 410 matches and win the Player of the Season accolade three times since joining the club from Hull City.
Fellow defender Callum Morris, 21, has left having failed to play for Rovers, while 29-year-old striker Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro departs after two years.
Jason Koumas, Steve Jennings, James Wallace, Ash Taylor and Jason Mooney have been offered contract extensions.
Young defender Antonie Boland has already agreed a new one-year deal.
Meanwhile, the club has confirmed they are in discussions with midfielder Joe Thompson, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment, over his future.
