VODAFONE customers in Hoylake have been experiencing signal problems this week.
A spokesman for the phone company apologised for the outage and said it is due to a power fault in the area.

They added: "Our engineers  will be working on the site over the next the next few days to replace faulty equipment."

Business leaders from across Wirral had a chance to air their concerns today during a "question time" debate with two of the borough’s MPs.

A Birkenhead thug who punched a woman to the ground in an unprovoked attack has been jailed for more than two years today.

Thomas McNulty, of Holt Road, pleaded guilty at Liverpool Crown Court to causing grievous bodily harm.

The 32-year-old was sentenced to 26 months in prison. More details here.

Youngsters aged five-to-12 will be able to hone their skills under the guidance of golf professionals.

Merseytravel are reminding people that there will be a partial closure of the Kingsway tunnel from 7.30pm tonight until 6.30am on Monday. Motorists are advised to use the Queensway tunnel where possible.

Hilbre Sixth Form girls have raised more than £150 in an hour by going into school make-up free. It's all part of their contribution to the Cancer Awareness campaign which has taken the internet by storm. It follows the death of Eastham teeanger Sophie Jones, who died from cervical cancer on Saturday. The petition is close to 300,000 signatures now. You can sign it here.
