AN elderly man was badly injured after being in collision with a car in Wallasey on Wednesday.

The 78-year-old was taken to hospital with head injuries after the accident around 5pm on Sandiways Road.

The driver of the remained at the scene and passed a mandatory breath test.

He too was taken to Arrowe Park Hospital with minor head injuries from hitting the windscreen.
