Detectives in Wirral have arrested four youths after a 14-year-old boy was hospitalised with cuts to his face and shoulder.
The teenager was attacked on Prenton Hall Road at around 10pm on Saturday.
The victim managed to make his way home from wehre he was taken to Arrowe Park Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. He remains in hospital.
The four are a 16-year-old from the Birkenhead area; two 15-year-old youths from Woodchurch and a 14-year-old from Prenton.
They are currently in custody for questioning.
Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers are keen to speak with anyone who was around Prenton Hall Road at the time and may have witnessed the incident.
