I would like to thank Andy, and the many other people who attended me at the scene of the accident. Also, the paramedics who took me to the Royal Liverpool - you all helped keep me sane in those frightening moments after the accident when I thought I was going to be totally paralysed.
Back home now and on a slow road to recovery.
I would just like to stress to car drivers, please be more aware of those who are more vulnerable on the roads.

Many, many thanks to all those good people, including the surgeons and nursing staff at The Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
