An inquiry is underway after the body of a man was discovered in Birkenhead on Friday evening.
Police say they are treating the death as unexplained.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: “Patrols were called to an address in Buccleuch Street by the ambulance service at around 8.15pm on Friday.
“Officers attended and found the body of a 45-year-old man inside the property.
"The man has been identified and next of kin have been informed. A post mortem examination is due to be carried out.
“At this stage his death is being treated as unexplained.
"An investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident is continuing.“
