A YOUNG man had to be cut out of his car following a two car collision in Wallasey.

Firefighters were called to Millthwaite Road, near St Hilary’s Brow, just after 10pm on Saturday, January 18.

The crews, from Birkenhead and Wallasey, were joined by the Search and Rescue Team.

Firefighters used hydraulic equipment to remove the roof of the car to allow paramedics to move the man, who was in his 20s.

He was then taken to the Royal Liverpool Hospital.

No one else was injured in the collision.
