A 47-YEAR-old man has been charged with murder in relation to the death of a man found stabbed in Rock Ferry.
Dennis O’Neill of Old Chester Road, Rock Ferry is accused of killing 38-year-old James Byrne and is due to appear before magistrates today.
Emergency services were called to Old Chester Road at its junction with Well Lane, at around 11.20pm on Sunday to reports of a disturbance.
Mr Byrne, 38, was found on the pavement with a number of stab wounds. He was taken to hospital and pronounced dead on Monday.
O'Neill was remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court today.
