A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap following an incident in Caldy.
Police were called to Croft Drive West at around 4.30pm on Saturday following concerns over the safety of a man.
The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for minor facial injuries but was released shortly afterwards.
Detectives are now investigating the incident and a 50-year-old man from Caldy has been arrested.
A police spokesman said: "As a precautionary measure, a containment was put in place around the property whilst officers assessed the situation.
"A number of roads around Croft Drive were cordoned off while the situation was on-going and Merseyside Police would like to thank any residents who were inconvenienced for their patience."
