THE SEARCH is on to find the next princess for Aladdin in an upcoming pantomime at the Echo Arena.

Producers for this year's pantomime spectacular are scouring the nation to find the next star to play the princess at a run of shows in Liverpool this Christmas.

Already the pantomime will stars Michael Auger from Colabro as Aladdin, Leanne Campbell from Radio City, Ruby Murry from Britain's Got Talent, Brookside's Jimmy Corkhill - Dean Sullivan and Mark Jones.

Producer and director James Shone said: "This is a brilliant opportunity for a local actress to perform in this fantastic production, I'm looking forward to the auditions and I can't wait to choose our Princess.

"This year's show is going to be spectacular and tickets are selling fast so don't delay and book today to see this magical pantomime"

Do you know anyone who would fit right in with this gang of stars?

Entries will be judged by Leanne Campbell, Michael Auger and the show’s producer and director James Shone, with the top ten invited to the Echo Arena to audition on August 22.

Auditionees will need to bring a song of their choice with a backing track to sing to the audition panel - they will also be given some dialogue to read.

The chosen princess must be aged 18 or over and available from December 6 to 24 for rehearsals and performances.

The role is contracted, so the performer will be paid for working on the show.

If you think you have what it takes to wow audiences then email with a short performance CV (max. 200 words) and/or a showreel by Wednesday, August 16.
