JAMES HETHERINGTON 14th January 2018 Aged 95 years. Jim grew up in Toxteth with his sister Marie and brother Frank. He proudly served in WWII as an Irish Guardsman and received the Légion d'honneur for his part in the Normandy landings. He sang beautifully with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir for over 30 years including 15 as choir librarian. Jim is mourned by his wife of nearly 70 years Sheila, children Claire, Agnes, Phil, Margie, John, Peter and Paul, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. James' Requiem mass will take place at Holy Apostles and Martyrs Church, Wallasey, on Tuesday 6th February 2018 at 12.00 noon, followed by interment at Frankby Cemetery.
