A Prenton man has denied running a brothel and being in charge of prostitutes.
James Felix Anthony appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday accused of running a brothel at a flat in Wirral.
The 64-year-old pleaded not guilty to charges of being in control of a single prostitute for gain between January and April 2013, and being in charge of half a dozen different prostitutes between January and August of the same year.
He also denied managing a brothel at an apartment in East Float Quay on Birkenhead’s Dock Road between January 1 2013 and August 24.
Anthony, of Vyner Court, Vyner Close, Prenton, was further remanded on bail to await his trial, expected to last about three days, beginning on February 9 next year.
