SOME years ago, at great expense to the taxpayer, a cycle/pedestrian path was laid alongside Lever Causeway yet most cyclists choose not to use it or maybe are not aware of its existence.

I drive down this road at least twice a week and often have to manoeuvre around a cyclist which can be dangerous for both car driver and cyclist with oncoming traffic.

This is a fast, dangerous road and it needs prominent signposts placed at both ends of the designated path to direct cyclists away from the traffic.

There are circular blue signs but they are inadequate and not visible from the road.
